ڐالنا ḍālnā H v. a. To throw down, to fling, cast, drop, shed, pour, inject, lay, put, push, set, shake, submit, throw, hurl, thrust, destroy, throw away; cause, occasion, produce, excite. ڐال دينا ḍāl-denā, v. a. To throw away, cast, cause, occasion, &c.

ڐپهالي ḍaph-ālī P. (from دف) s. m. 1. A kind of faḳīr, who always plays upon a musical instru- ment called دف. 2. (met.) A chatterer.

ڐهيـﮩ‍ا ḍhīhā H s. m. A rising ground.

ڐهاڙس ḍhāṛas दार्ढ्य S̱. s. f. m. Firmness of mind, confidence, animation, encouragement, comfort. ڐهاڙس بندهانا ḍhāṛas bandhānā, v. a. To encourage, to comfort, to keep in spirits. ڐهاڙس دينا ḍhāṛas denā, v. a. To animate.

ڐرنا ḍar-nā S̱. (r. दृ) v. n. To fear, be fright- ened, dread.

ڐنڐي ḍanḍī दंडी S. s. f. 1. A handle. 2. The beam of a pair of scales. 3. A mendicant who carries a staff in his hand. پگ ڐنڐي pag- ḍanḍī, s. f. A footpath, by-path, track.

ڐانس ḍāṅs दंश S̱. s. m. 1. The sting of a rep- tile. 2. A large musquito, a gadfly.

ڐانڐي ḍānḍ-ī S̱. (from दंड) s. m. A rower.

ڐانک ḍānk H s. m. (dakh. s. f.) 1. Foil (under precious stones). 2. The sting of a scorpion (and sometimes of other animals).

ڐيٿهـ ḍīṭh दृष्टि S̱. s. f. Sight, a look, a glance, vision. ڐيٿهـ بند ḍīṭh-band, Enchanting the sight, preventing oneʼs seeing by conjuration, a juggler. ڐيٿهـ بندي ḍīṭh-band-ī, s. f. Enchanting the sight, preventing by conjuration oneʼs seeing.
