دوهراو dohrāʼo S̱. (from دهرانا duhrānā, q. v.) s. m. Repetition, doubling, reduplication.

داهنا dāhinā S̱. or dāhnā, adj. Right (opposite to left. Sans. दक्षिण South or right; because the earth, the navel of which corresponds to Hindūstān, has its head to the west, its feet to the east, the right side to the south, and the left to the north; or, perhaps, from the position of eastern people in adoration of the sun. In Arab. شمال denotes the north or left: and, this agrees with the manner in which the Roman augurs determined the regions of the heavens, according to Livy, I. 18.).

دهکارنا dhikkārnā धिक्कारण S̱. v. n. To re- proach, to curse.

دوارکا द्वारिका dwārikā S s. f. Name of a Hindū holy place on the shore of the western sea, near the mouth of the gulf of Cutch. دوارکا ناتهـ द्वारिकानाथ dwārikā-nāth, Master of dwā- rikā, i. e. Kr̤ish̤ṇa.

دهامن dhāmin H s. m. 1. A kind of serpent (which is said to suck cows and to be harmless). 2. A kind of wood. 3. A kind of bamboo.

دوهتّڙ do-hattaṛ S̱. (from द्वौ Two, and हस्त Hand) s. f. A slap or pat with both hands.
