دين لين den len S̱. (properly دينا and لينا from दान and लान or देयंलेयं) s. m. Pecuniary trans- actions upon interest, debts and credit; barter, traffick.

دهکڙي dhukaṛī H s. f. A purse.

دوا dawā A (from دوي Heb. To be sick) s. f. Medicine, a remedy. دوا پذير dawā-pazīr, adj. Admitting a remedy, remediable. دوا خانه dawā-ḵẖānā, s. m. A room for medicines, an apothecaryʼs shop, dispensary. دوا ساز dawā- sāz, A maker or compounder of medicines. دوا کرنا dawā karnā, To remedy, to cure, to heal. (Plur. ادويه adwiya).

دراني durrānī P s. m. The name of a tribe of Paṭhāns, inhabiting the country about Ḳandhār. They are said to have got this name from wearing pearls in the ear. They are also called Abdālīs.

دتانا dut-ānā S̱. v. a. 1. To press down. 2. To snub, to chide, to keep under.

ديدهت dīdhit S (दीधिति) s. f. A sunbeam.

دسرتهـ दशरथ dasarath S n. prop. Name of an antient Rājā, father of Rāma, who is hence called दाशरथ.

دهناسري dhanāsrī धनेश्वरी S̱. s. f. The name of a rāginī or musical mode.

دهنگار dhungār H s. m. Seasoning with which any thing is fried.

دهچکنا dhachaknā H v. n. To give way, to sink (as, a bog, slough, &c.).
