دگڙانا dagṛānā H v. a. To propel, to roll.

داني dān-ī P. in compos. s. f. 1. dimin. of دان Receptacle, stand, place, &c.; as, تيل داني tel- dān-ī, s. f. An oil-pot. 2. (from دان Knowing) Knowledge.

دوشاله du-shāla S̱. (द्वौ Two, and शाल A shawl) s. m. Two shawls (being always worn together by the natives).

درگاه dargāh P s. f. 1. A palace, a court. 2. Threshold, door. 3. A mosque, a shrine. S. درگت दुर्गति (दुर् Bad, and गति see گت gat) dur-gati, s. f. Meanness, abjectness. P. S̱. درگذرکرنا dar-guẕar karnā, v. a. To pass over, to neglect, to excuse, overlook, forgive. P. H. درگذرنا dar-guẕarnā, v. n. To decline, to leave off, to abstain or refrain (from), to pass by or over. P. H. درگرفت کرنا dar-girift karnā, v. a. To catch, to seize, to captivate.

درگم दुर्गम दुर् With difficulty, and r. गम Go dur-gam S. adj. Deep, profound. See درگ durg.

دوبهاشيا du-bhāshiyā S̱. (see under دو) s. m. An interpreter.

دهکڙي dhukaṛī H s. f. A purse.

دگدگي dugdugī H s. (dakh. i. q. حلق کي نيچي کا گڙها) Pit or hole at the bottom of the throat (?).

دوستي dost-ī P s. f. Friendship, affection.

دوج द्विज dwija S (twice-born) s. m. A man of either of the three first classes (the Brāhmaṇs, Ksh̤atriyas, and Vaisyas being initiated into their respective tribes by investiture with the sacred thread, which is called a second birth).
