دهاکها dhākhā H s. m. 1. A swing. 2. Name of a tree (Butea frondosa).

دباو dabāʼo H (from دبانا) s. m. Strength, power, authority, pressure, crush, suppression, depres- sion, resignation, submissiveness. دباوماننا da- bāʼo mānnā, v. a. To stand in awe.

ديوٿهان dew-ṭhān S̱. (देवोत्थान from देव God, उत् Up, and r. ष्ठा Stand) s. f. The second day of the moon of kārtik shukl-paksh̤, on which Vish̤ṇu awakes from his sleep of four mouths.

دثار dis̤ār A s. An upper garment. (The word is used in opposition to شعار, and like the latter sometimes in compos. to denote habit, custom, &c.).

دروازه darwāza P s. m. Door. دروازه ٿهوکنا dar- wāza ṭhoknā, To knock at the door. دروازه تيغه هونا darwāza teg̠ẖa honā, Implies a doorʼs being built up with bricks and mortar. دروازه معمورکرنا darwāza maﻌmūr karnā, To close a door.

دلال dalāl A (from دلّ) s. m. 1. Looking (haugh- tily or amorously) through half-shut eyes. 2. Looking with affected anger (as, lovers). 3. Cinædus libidine infamis. (Ḳāmūs).

ديکهائي dekhāʼī S̱. s. f. See دکهائي dikhāʼī.

دهماکا dhamākā H s. m. A kind of cannon car- ried on an elephant.

دسنا disnā S̱. (r. दृश See) 1. v. n. To appear, be seen, to seem. 2. v. a. To see.

داج dāj A (from دجا) s. m. 1. Darkness, obscu- rity. 2. A dark night.
