دهوکها dhokhā H s. m. 1. Deceit, deception, de- lusion, blunder. دهوکها دينا dhokhā denā, To deceive. دهوکها کهانا dhokhā khānā, To be de- ceived. 2. Disappointment. 3. Doubt, hesi- tation. 4. A scarecrow. 5. Any thing imagi- nary, not real, a vapour resembling water at a distance. (French, mirage).

داير dāʼịr A part. act. (of دور Heb. ) Encir- cling. داير و ساير dāʼịr-o-sāʼịr, Going the circuit (judges, &c.), absolute, invested with autho- rity.

ديپک दिपक dīpak S s. m. 1. A light, a can- dle, a lamp. 2. A kind of firework. 3. Name of a rāg, or musical mode, sung at noon in the hot weather.

درنده daranda P or darinda, part. act. (of دريدن Tearing; (adjec- tively) Rapacious, fierce, ravenous; (subst.) Ravenous beast, beast of prey.
