دماغ dimāg̠ẖ A s. m. 1. The brain. دماغ تازه کرنا dimāg̠ẖ tāza karnā, To be pleased. 2. (in Persian, also, damāg̠ẖ) Pride, haughtiness, conceit, spirit, fancy. دماغ چڙهنا damāg̠ẖ chaṛhnā, To be proud with excess of wealth. دماغ کرنا damāg̠ẖ karnā, To be vain, proud, haughty; or rather, to act proudly, &c. دماغ هونا damāg̠ẖ honā, To be vain, haughty, proud. P. دماغي 1. dimāg̠ẖ-ī, adj. Of the brain. 2. da- māg̠ẖ-ī, Vain, frivolous, conceited, proud.

دهوتي dhotī धौत्र S̱. s. f. A cloth worn round the waist, passing between the legs and fas- tened behind.

دنگل dangal H s. m. A kind of chair. P.T. دنگل dangal, s. m. f. A crowd, the sitting face to face in an assembly.

دستکي dastakī P s. f. 1. A pocketbook, a tweezer-case. 2. A falconerʼs glove.

داٴودي dāʼūd-ī A 1. s. f. A shrub that bears a flower like chamomile (Chrysanthemum indi- cum); a kind of firework like that shrub. 2. A kind of armour. 3. adj. Relating to David, of David.

دلانا dilānā S̱. (causal of دينا) v. a. To cause to give, to occasion, to consign, to assign, to cause to yield, to cause to give up.

دهيانون dhyānauṅ S̱. v. a. (in Braj) See دهيانا dhyānā.

دبکنا dabaknā H v. n. To crouch, to sculk, to be awed, to lie in ambush, to lurk, to set (a dog), to twinkle. دبک آنا-جانا يا رهنا dabak-ānā, -janā, or -rahnā, v. n. To sneak, to sculk. دبک بيٿهنا dabak baiṭhnā, v. n. To crouch.

دبلاٴي dublā-ī S̱. (दुर्बलता or दौर्बल्य) s. f. Thinness, leanness, meagreness.
