دهڙا dhaṛā H s. m. 1. A party. 2. A weight. دهڙا باندهنا dhaṛā bāndhnā, To make up a standard to weigh by, with bricks or any thing else; as, by having one weight (of a pound, suppose) it is doubled, quadrupled, and so on, till the weight requisite is obtained.

دنت दंत dant S s. m. A tooth. دنت پير dant- pīr (दंतपीडा) The toothach.

دکهت दुःखित dukhit S adj. Afflicted.

دهوندهون کال dhūndhūṅ-kāl S̱. (धुंधुकार) s. m. 1. Heavy rain obscuring the whole heaven. 2. Gloomy weather, gloominess. 3. Desolateness. 4. Name of a game.

دريده darīda P part. pass. (of دريدن) Torn. دريده دهن darīda-dahan, adj. Plain-spoken, saying whatever comes uppermost.

دعوت daﻌwat A s. f. 1. Invitation, convocation, benediction. 2. Pressing people to become Musalmāns. 3. Pretension. 4. A feast, banquet. دعوت کرني daﻌwat-karnī, To invite.

دند dund S̱. or dundu, s. A large kettledrum. See دندبهي dundubhī.

داج dāj A (from دجا) s. m. 1. Darkness, obscu- rity. 2. A dark night.

دگدگانا dagdagānā H v. n. To glow, to gleam, to twinkle.
