دوباز dobāz P s. m. 1. A kind of pigeon. 2. A sort of childʼs kite.

دهيڙ daheṛ H s. Name of a bird. (Perhaps, for دهيل dahel, q. v.). ¶ dhīṛ (dakh.) See ڐهيڙه ḍhīṛh.

دوشينه dosh-īna P adj. Of last night. s. A shoulderʼs load, what is carried on the shoulder.

دها dah-ā P (from ده Ten) s. m. 1. The first ten days of the Muḥarram: called also عشره and عاشورا 2. The models of the tombs of Ḥasan and Ḥusain, or the model of a building containing the tombs, which are carried about in procession during those ten days. On the tenth day the tombs are buried, or in some places thrown into water: the building, if made of cheap materials, shares the same fate: if costly, it is carried back and deposited in the dargāh or Karbalā.

داونا dāʼonā H v. a. To thrash, to tread. S. داه दाह (r. दह Burn) dāh, s. f. Burning, conflagration, ardour. داه دينا dāh denā, To light the funeral pile. داه رکهنا dāh rakhnā, To grudge.

دوبهاشيا du-bhāshiyā S̱. (see under دو) s. m. An interpreter.

دفاين dafāʼịn A s. plur. (of دفينه) Hidden trea- sures.

درفشان darafshān P part. Shining, splendid.

دهلي dihlī देहली S̱. s. f. A threshold.

دستار dastār P s. f. A turband. دستاربند dastār- band, A servant whose business it is to make up the turband. دستارخوان dastār-ḵẖẉān, s. m. A tablecloth.
