داعي dāʼīﻌ A (part. act. of دعا) s. m. 1. A well- wisher, one who prays for the welfare of ano- ther. 2. A plaintiff, claimant. 3. One who instigates another to any thing, instigator, au- thor, cause.

درهم dirham A (from p. درم) s. m. 1. Money. 2. A silver coin, of which from 20 to 25 have at different times passed current for a dīnār, which latter is nearly equal to a ducat, or se- quin, about 9 shillings. (Pl. دراهم).

دستي dast-ī P s. f. A torch or link that is carried in the hands. adj. Of or from the hand, manual.

دهونج dhaunj S̱. (from ध्यान Contemplation) s. f. Thought, consideration, reflection.

دادار dād-ār P (داد Justice, and part. act. of آوردن To bring) s. m. Bringer or distributer of justice (an epithet of the deity).
