ايکتراجور ekatarā-jwar S̱. (एक One (day), अन्तर Interval, and ज्वर Fever) s. m. A tertian ague.

اسکي असुखी a-sukhī S adj. Uneasy, unhap- py, restless, afflicted.

افطار ift̤ār A (inf. iv. of فطر) s. m. Breaking a fast. افطار کرنا ift̤ār karnā, To break oneʼs fast in the evening after fasting all day, as the Mu- salmāns do during the month of Ramaẓān.

انبناؤ an-banāʼo H s. m. Discord, dissension, misunderstanding.

اوصاف auṣāf A s. plur. (of وصف) Praises, qua- lities, endowments, descriptions. اوصاف حميده auṣāf-i-ḥamīda, adj. Praiseworthy qualifica- tions, noble properties.

آنکنا ānknā S̱. (trans. of انکنا) v. a. To value, ap- praise, to examine, to approve of.

اتو uttū H s. m. Plaits of cloth. مارکر اتو بنایا اسکیتئین mārkar uttū banāyā uske taʼīṅ, He beat him to a mummy (lit. till his body became marked like the plaits in cloth). اتو کرنا uttū karnā, v. a. To plait. اتو کش uttū-kash, or اتو گر uttū-gar, A plaiter.

استعجال istiﻌjāl A (inf. x. of عجل) s. m. Wishing to make haste, ordering one to make haste, hastening, accelerating, despatch.
