آکاس برتي ākās-britt-ī S̱. adj. used substantively, One whose subsistence is fortuitous.

ارم iram A s. m. A fabulous garden in Arabia; paradise.

استاذ ustāẕ P Same as استاد ustād, q.v.

استواري ustuwār-ī P s. f. Firmness, stability, strength; resolution, constancy.

اتوار itwār S̱. (from आदित्यवार The day of the sun) s. m. Sunday.

اصدار iṣdār A (inf. iv. of صدر) s. m. Producing, appearing, issuing.

احکم aḥkam A adj. compar. (of حکیم) Strong- er, firmer, more stable, or very strong.

اسپند ispand P s. m. A seed burnt at marriages to drive away evil spirits: it is, also, burnt as a charm for the like purpose some days after a child is born, particularly at the door; and when a child goes out or comes home. It is often mixed on those occasions with mustard seed, and hence has been confounded with the latter (خردل).

اربرانا arbarānā H v. n. To hurry, to be confused, confounded, perplexed, agitated, embar- rassed, &c. See هملبلانا and هڙبڙانا.

اڙان uṛān S̱. (from اڙنا) s. f. Act of flying.
