خفي ḵẖafī A adj. Secret, concealed; fine or small (handwriting, opposed to جلي jalī).

خرفه ḵẖurfa A (from خرف To pluck fruit from a tree, Heb. To strip off honours or deco- ration, to inflict ignominy) s. m. 1. That which is plucked from a tree. 2. Autumnal fruit.

Gaping, yawning. خميازه کهينچنا ḵẖamiyāza-khainchnā, v. a. To gape or yawn as after intoxication; (met.) to receive the punishment of oneʼs faults or crimes.

Comfort, confi- dence, ease of mind. خاطر خواه ḵẖāt̤ir-ḵẖẉāh, Agreeable to oneʼs wishes, satisfactory. خاطر دار ḵẖāt̤ir-dār, adj. Encouraging; comforter, encourager. خاطر داري ḵẖāt̤ir-dār-ī, s. f. En- couragement, comfort, gratification, satisfaction. خاطر داري کرني ḵẖāt̤ir-dār-ī-karnī, To comfort, to encourage. خاطر داشت ḵẖāt̤ir-dāsht, s. f. Com- plaisance, regard. خاطر رکهنا ḵẖāt̤ir-rakhnā, To conciliate, to encourage, to comfort, to quiet. خاطر کرنا ḵẖāt̤ir-karnā, 1. To fondle. 2. To be desirous of pleasing, to study the interest (of any one). 3. To encourage, to comfort. خاطر مين رکهنا ḵẖāt̤ir meṅ rakhnā, To remember. خاطر مين گذرنا ḵẖāt̤ir meṅ guẕarnā, To come into the mind or head (an idea). خاطر مين لانا ḵẖāt̤ir meṅ lānā, To regard, to mind, to care for, to attend to. خاطر نشان ḵẖāt̤ir nishān, Impression on the mind; imprinted on the memory, by heart. خاطر نشين ḵẖāt̤ir-nishīn, adj. 1. Fixed in the memory, by heart. 2. Chosen, beloved.

خنازير ḵẖanāzīr A s. plur. (of خنزير) Hogs; ulcers in the neck or scrofula.

خمر ḵẖamr A (from خمر Heb. To be hot, to boil, to ferment) s. m. 1. Wine, spirituous liquors. 2. Covering, hiding. 3. Fermenting, leavening.

خياري ḵẖayārī A s. f. A kind of violet.
