News, information, intelli- gence, advice, rumours, report, fame, account, care, notice. خبربسنت کي پوچهني ḵẖabar basant kī pūchhnī, expresses extreme ignorance or negligence. خبرخضري ḵẖabar-i-ḵẖiẓr-ī, Re- port, sudden news, guessing what is to happen. (خضر Ḵẖiẓr was a prophet, skilled in divina- tion; and hence, when from certain symptoms the publick guess at the intentions of govern- ment, &c. intelligence of such intentions, &c. is called خبرخضري). خبر دار ḵẖabar-dār, 1. adj.
