حکومت ḥukūmat A (from حکم) s. f. Dominion, sovereignty, government, jurisdiction, sway, au- thority. حکومت کرنا ḥukūmat karnā, To govern, to rule.

حجر ḥajar A s. m. A stone. (Plur. احجار aḥjār). حجرتان ḥajratān, Gold and silver. حجرالاسود ḥa- jaru-l-aswad, s. m. The black stone in the tem- ple of Mecca. حجراليـﮩود ḥajaru-l-yahūd, s. m. حقيقي ḥaḳīḳ-ī A adj. Real, true, certain, accu- rate, just, actual, own. حقيقي بهاٴي ḥaḳīḳī bhāʼī, A full brother.

حين ḥīn A s. m. Time, interval of time. حين حيات ḥīn-i-ḥayāt, s. f. Lifetime.

حساس ḥassās A adj. (superl. from حسّ) 1. Possessed of the five senses. 2. (used substan- tively) m. An animal.

حوادث ḥawādis̤ A s. plur. of حادثه q. v. A. P. حوادثات ḥawādis̤-āt, s. plur. of plur. Occur- rences, misfortunes.

حدت ḥiddat A s. f. 1. The edge of a sword. 2. Keenness, acuteness, acrimony, passion, ve- hemence, impetuosity, poignancy, virulence.

حربي ḥarb-ī A adj. Warlike, relating to war. s. A warriour.

حسرت ḥasrat A (from حسر Heb. Defect, want, privation) s. f. Regret, grief, desire. حسرت آلوده ḥasrat-ālūda, adj. Overwhelmed with grief. حسرت زده ḥasrat-zada, adj. Wo- begone, afflicted. حسرت کشته ḥasrat-kushta, Killed with grief.

حضوري ḥuẓūr-ī A. s. m. An attendant, courtier. s. f. Presence. adj. Of the court, royal, divine.
