حبابي ḥubāb-ī A. adj. Of the bubble, covered with bubbles, bubble-like: s. (in compos.) Bubbling.

حامله ḥāmila A (from حمل) adj. f. Pregnant. حامله هونا ḥāmila honā, To conceive, to be preg- nant.

حمق ḥumḳ A or ḥumuḳ, s. m. Foolishness, folly, stupidity, inadvertency.

حکم ḥukm A s. m. Order, command, decree, sentence, doom, award, authority, jurisdiction, precept, effect, influence, efficiency, permis- sion, article (of faith, &c.). (Plur. احکام). حکم اٿهانا يا نکالنا ḥukm-uṭhānā or -nikālnā, To draw at cards. حکم انداز ḥukm-andāz, Hitting the mark aimed at, obedient to directions. حکم ران ḥukm-rān (حکم with the part. act. of راندن To drive) Ruling, exercising sovereignty. حکم راني ḥukm-rān-ī, s. f. حلبه ḥulba A s. The plant fenugreek. (In Hin- dī ميتهي).

حاکم ḥākim A (part. act. of حکم q. v.) s. m. A ruler, a governour, a judge, a commander, a master. (Plur. حکام ḥukkām, or Pers. حاکمان ḥākimān). حاکم نشين ḥākim-nishīn, Seat of a ruler or sovereign. A. P. حاکمي ḥākim-ī, s. f. Rule, sway, governance, government, dominion.

حوزه ḥauza A (Heb. from حاز Heb. To collect, to accumulate, to possess) s. m. A tract, side, part, middle.

حکمي ḥukm-ī A. adj. Obedient to directions. (Applied to medicine).
