چهن chhan H s. A sound made by the falling of a drop of water upon a warm plate.

چـﮩ‍انا chihānā H v. a. To embellish, to decorate.

چکاري chikārī P. (see p. چکاره) adj. f. Useless, contemptible, worthless.

چوا choʼā H or chowā, s. m. 1. The name of a perfume. 2. The pod or skin of any kind of pulse. 3. A windfall (fruit).

چيره chīra P adj. Powerful, bold, brave.

چنن chunan H s. m. Rumple, crease.

چوک chauk H s. m. 1. A market. 2. A square of a city. 3. A court-yard. 4. A square place filled, at marriages and on other occasions of rejoicing, with sweetmeats, which after certain ceremonies are distributed. چوک بهرنا يا پورنا chauk-bharnā or -pūrnā, To fill a chauk or square with coloured meal, perfumes, sweet- meats, &c. on some occasion of rejoicing. چوک پٿا chauk-paṭṭā, A seat on which the people sit and eat in the chaukā.
