اوس os H s. f. Dew. اوس پڙجني os paṛ jānī, To fall in value, to be deprived of importance, splendour, &c., to become less in demand than formerly.

اتصال ittiṣal A (inf. viii. of وصل) s. m. Conjunc- tion, contact, adhesion, union, continuity, attach- ment, neighbourhood, contiguity, adjacency.

اگهانا aghānā H 1. v. n. To surfeit, to be satiated. 2. adj. Satiated.

اپنپا apampā S̱. (see آپ āp) s. m. Oneʼs self. (Used in the accusative case only, as اپنپا بچانا apampā bachānā, To guard or protect oneʼs self).

آردرا आद्री ārdrā S s. f. Name of one of the lunar mansions, which see under آدرا ādrā.

اپنشد उपनिषद् upanish̤ad S s. The theolo- gical part and the vedānta or argumentative part of the Vedas, either detached from, or comprised in, the principal work.

اسلامي islām-ī A s. m. f. A Muhammadan, a believer. (Pers. plur. اسلامیان islāmiyān).

الغوزه alg̠ẖūza A s. m. A whistle, pipe, flagelet.

اگال ugāl S̱. (उत् and r. गल Eat) s. m. That which is spit out after chewing any thing (es- pecially, betel leaf). آپ کا اگال میرا ادهار āp kā ugāl merā adhār, Your worshipʼs leavings are my nourishment; i e. You, Sir, are my support and benefactor. S̱. P. اگالدان ugāl-dān, s. m. A spitting-box.

ارچنا archanā S̱. 1. (अर्चन) v. a. To worship, adore, honour, treat with ceremony. 2. अर्चना s. f. Worship, the homage paid to deities, &c.
