چتهڙا chithṛā H s. m. A rag, tatter.

چپٿهي chapṭihī H s. f. The name of an insect.

چلهوانس chilhwāṅs S̱. (from चिल्ल A kite and मांस Flesh) s. m. 1. The flesh of a kite (the eating of which is said to produce madness). 2. Screaming like a kite.

چاول chāwal H s. m. Rice (cleared of the husk and not dressed).

چاندني chāndnī चान्द्री S̱. s. f. 1. The moon- beams, moonlight. 2. Name of a flower. 3. A cloth spread over a carpet. 4. Any thing white and shining. چاندني چوک chāndnī-chauk, s. m. A wide and publick street or market. چاندني رات chāndnī-rāt, A moonlight night. چاندني کا مارجانا chāndnī kā mār jānā, v. n. To be affected with a disease supposed to proceed from a stroke of the moon (a horse).

چانگلا chānglā H s. m. A colour in horses.

چهٿي chhuṭṭī S̱. (from چهٿنا chhuṭnā) s. f. Dis- charge, release, acquittal, leave, time, leisure, cessation, disengagement, intermission, dismis- sion, permission, freedom.

چولاٴي chaulāʼī H s. f. A kind of vegetable. (Amaranthus polygamus). S̱. H. چولڙا chau-laṛ-ā, s. m. A necklace of four strings. S̱. H. چولڙي chau-laṛ-ī, s. f. A necklace of four strings.

چهيو chheʼo S̱. (see چهيونا) s. m. A mark, a piece of wood cut off. چهيومارنا chheʼo mārnā, To line out, to mark.
