چوک chauk : چوک chauk H s. m. 1. A market. 2. A square of a city. 3. A court-yard. 4. A square place filled, at marriages and on other occasions of rejoicing, with sweetmeats, which after certain ceremonies are distributed. چوک بهرنا يا پورنا chauk-bharnā or -pūrnā, To fill a chauk or square with coloured meal, perfumes, sweet- meats, &c. on some occasion of rejoicing. چوک پٿا chauk-paṭṭā, A seat on which the people sit and eat in the chaukā.

چٿکنا chaṭkanā चपेटकर्ण S̱. s. m. A slap, a box, a blow, cuff.

چنسر chansur H s. m. Cress, cresses. (Lepi- dium sativum).
