چمان chamān P s. Walking haughtily or grace- fully, with a motion of the body from side to side.

چمڙي chimṛī H adj. Infrangible (a quill, for instance), hard.

چباولا chabā-olā H adj. Childish, boyish.

چڙپڙا chiṛpiṛā H adj. Fiery, hot (as, pepper), acrid.

چهينکا chhīnkā शिक्य S̱. s. m. A network or loop of strings or cords to hang any thing on (as a burthen at either end of a yoke or pole, &c.), the cords of a bahangi.

چيني chīn-ī H s. f. Sugar (coarse; being, per- haps, so named from چين chīn, China, whence it might have been first brought to India; as, sugar-candy is called مصري miṣr-ī apparently from مصر miṣr, Egypt).

چهينا chhīnnā H v. a. To pull, tear, pluck, rob, snatch. چهينا چهاني کرنا chhīnā-chhānī karnā, To scramble. چهين لينا chhīn lenā, To snatch up, acquire, take possession of, seize, pluck, to bereave, deprive.

چيتڙ chītaṛ H s. Hips, buttocks: see سرين su- rīn. چيتڙٿيکنا chītaṛ ṭeknā, To get rest, to sit down.

چکوتا chukautā H s. m. A task, agreement, ad justment, decision, settlement.

چلاوا chalāwā S̱. (from چلنا q. v.) s. Movement, motion, going, custom.
