چمکارنا chumkār-nā H v. a. To coax, to speak kindly to, to sooth (by drawing in the breath with protruded lips).

چرچرانا charcharānā H or chirchirānā, v. n. To crackle (as, wood in the fire), to sputter, to chew with a cracking noise, to chide, scold, fret.

چاهک chāhak S̱. (from چاهنا) adj. Affectionate.

چنگي chingī H s. f. 1. See چنگاري chingārī. 2. A wicked dwarf. چنگي جهڙنا چهوٿنا يا نکلنا chingī-jhaṛnā, -chhūṭnā or -nikalnā, To sparkle.

چٿاخا chaṭāḵẖā H (properly چٿاکا) s. m. A crash, an explosion, a smack (or kiss).

چمچه chamcha P s. m. A spoon. چمچه بهر cham- cha-bhar, adj. Spoonful. (Sans. चमस)

چپ چاپ chup-chāp H adv. Silent, silently.

چوپايه chau-pāya चतुष्पाद S̱. s. m. An ani- mal, a beast, a quadruped.

چلونا chalaunā S̱. s. m. A small stick with which the spinning wheel is turned. P.H. چله chilla, s. m. See p. h. چلا chillā.

چول chūl H s. f. 1. A tenon, the part of joinerʼs work which fits into another (as, a dove-tail). 2. A pivot upon which a door turns (as on a hinge). 3. An axle-tree-arm. چولين اکهڙنا يا ڐهيلي هونا chūleṅ-ukhaṛnā or -ḍhīlī honā, To be tired, worn out with labour.
