اصیل aṣīl A adj. Well born, noble, genuine: (in Hind.) s. f. A maidservant.

اقتباس iḳtibās A (inf. viii. of قبس) s. m. Bor- rowing (fire from another); acquiring, procuring, gaining, asking, begging, quotation.

اصالتا aṣālataṉ A adv. Originally, radically, firmly, entirely, absolutely.

آگي āge S̱. (अग्रे agre) adv. Before, in front, fore, beyond, more, ago, already, formerly, for- wards, farther, onward, henceforward, along; in what is before or to be done, then, hence, rather, sooner. آگي آنا āge ānā, v. n. 1. To come forward, to advance. 2. To return, to re- vert. آگي دهرلینا āge dhar lenā, To get be- fore, to outstrip, to surpass, to pass (as a horse in a race). آگي لانا āge lānā, To advance (ac- tively), to bring forward.

انگار angār S (अंगार) s. m. A firebrand, embers, sparks remaining in ashes. انگارون پر لوٿنا angāroṅ par loṭnā, To be agitated or tormented (particularly from jealousy).

آب پاشي āb-pāshī P s. f. Sprinkling water.

ارفاه irfāh A (inf. iv. of رفه Heb. Was loose or remiss; lived at ease) s. m. 1. Bestowing affluence, comforting, cherishing. 2. Enjoy- ment of peace and affluence.

آچار आचार āchār S (improp. achār) s. m. Established rule of conduct, custom, practice, institute, religious observance.

اشعب ashʼaﻌb A n. prop. Name of a man noto- rious for greediness.

اونا ūnā H s. m. A kind of sword, a scimitar.
