چونا chūnā S̱. 1. (च्यवन from r. च्यु Go) v. n. To leak, distil, drop, to be filtered, to ooze, to exude. 2. To drop from the tree when ripe (fruit). 3. (चूर्ण) s. m. Lime. چونا پزني chūnā-paznī, s. f. A dancing girl. چونا لگانا chūnā lagānā, To defame.

چکتي chaktī S̱. (from चक्र A circle) s. f. 1. The hide of a rhinoceros (of which shields are made). 2. A patch of leather, a slice, com- pressed, flattened, a patch, the round of a cheese. 3. A round plate of metal, &c.

چرگنا churagnā H v, n. To chirp. S.P. چرم (Sans. चर्म्म) charm, s. m. Leather, a skin, a hide.

چندي chindī H s. (dakh.) Piece, &c. see پارچه pārcha. چندي چندي کرنا chindī chindī karnā, To break to pieces.

چونچرا chūn-charā P (when and wherefore?) Wrangling, altercation.

چنگڙا chingṛā चिंगट S̱. s. m. A prawn, a shrimp.

چهبيلا chhab-īlā S̱. (from छवि) adj. Handsome, comely, graceful.

چاک chāk चक्र S̱. s. m. 1. A potterʼs wheel. 2. Rings of earth for forming a well. 3. A mill- stone, mill: see s̱. پاٿ pāṭ.

چورساٴي chaurasāʼī H s. f. Equality of surface, evenness, levelness.

چهلنا chhilnā H v. n. To be excoriated.
