چوٿي choṭī चूडा S̱. s. f. 1. A lock of hair left on the top of the head, the hair braided behind, a cue. 2. Top, summit. چوٿي کا هونا choṭī kā honā, To excel, to be pre-eminent or unrivalled. See چونٿي chonṭī.

چهلوهلا chhulohlā H adj. Puerile, finical.

چارپاٴي chār-pā-ī P s. f. 1. A bedstead, a bed. چارپاٴي پرپڙنا chārpāʼī par paṛnā, To get sick. 2. A litter for carrying the sick.

چترکار चित्रकार chitr-kār S s. m. A portrait- painter, a painter.

چنگي chang-ī P s. m. One who plays on the چنگ chang, q. v. A harper, &c.

چومنا chūmnā चुम्बन S̱. v. a. To kiss.

چهيل chhail H s. m. A fop, a beau. چهيل پن chhail-pan, s. m. Spruceness.

چتا chittā H 1. s. m. Application of a blister. 2. adj. White.

چهنکانا chhankānā H (caus. of چهاننا) v. a. To concentrate, to cause to strain.

چنان چنين chunān-chunīn P adv. In this and that manner; (met.) evasion, subterfuge.
