چلکنا chilaknā H v. n. To glitter, to shine.

چونٿنا chūnṭnā H v. a. To gather (a flower), to claw, pinch.

چکن chikkan S (चिक्कण) adj. 1. Clean, po- lished, smooth. 2. Beautiful (persons). 3. Greasy, oily, fat (as meat), glossy, sleek, slip- pery. 4. Incontinent, lewd, wanton. چکنا باسن يا گهڙا بنا chiknā-bāsan or -ghaṛā bannā, To be incontinent, incorrigible, deaf to admonition. چکنا چاندا chiknā-chāndā (चिक्कणचंद्र) adj. Beautiful. چکني جورو chiknī jorū, s. f. A slip- pery wife. چکني سپاري chiknī supārī, s. f. A kind of betel-nut prepared by boiling. چکني صورت chiknī ṣūrat, Prosperous, affluent, flourishing. چکني مٿي chiknī-miṭṭī (चिक्कणमृत्तिका) s. f. Clay.

چباولا chabā-olā H adj. Childish, boyish.

چگير chager H s. f. A flower-pot. See چنگير. S. چل चल (r. चल Move) chal, s. f. 1. Going, dispersion. 2. Variation, departure from truth, failure in the performance of a promise or ac- complishment of a prediction. چل دينا chal denā, v. a. 1. To march (as, an army). 2. To beguile.

چهينکويا chhenkwaiyā H s. m. A confiscator.

چرچنا charachnā S̱. (see چرچا चर्चा charchā, sig. 3.) v. a. To perfume by smearing or plastering the body with sandal-wood, &c.

چينڙا cheṅṛā H adj. Young, little.

چترنا chitarnā S̱. (r. चित्र) v. a. To paint.

چهيجنا chhījnā H v. n. To decrease, to pine away. ديکها ديکهي کيجي جوگ چهيجي کايا باڙهي روگ dekhā dekhī kīje jog, chhīje kāyā bāṛhe rog, They who merely imitate others in austerity, waste away, and their diseases in- crease.
