چران charān S̱. s. m. Lea fallow, a meadow, a salt marsh or meadow by the seashore.

چهنکانا يا چهنکوانا chhinkānā H or chhinkwānā (caus. of چهينکنا chhenknā) v. a. To cause to stop, cause to seize, to cancel, strike out.

چهوپنا chhopnā H v. a. To fill up, to shut, to paint, to die.

چنبلا chamblā H s. m. See چمل chammal.

چهاننا chhānnā H v. a. 1. To strain, percolate, filter, sift. 2. To search, canvass, investigate. چهان لينا chhān lenā, To cull, to select. چهان مارنا chhān mārnā, To search, to rummage, ex- plore, canvass.

چهانـﮩـ chhāṅh S̱. (छाया) s. f. 1. Shade, sha- dow. 2. The reflection of any object in a mirror, &c. (Plur. چهاٴين chhāʼeṅ). چهانـﮩـ بانـﮩـ chhāṅh-bāṅh, s. f. Auspices. S̱.H. چهان هارا chhāṅ-hārā, adj. Umbrageous.

چهٿنا chhaṭnā S̱. (r. चट Separate) 1. s. m. A kind of sieve. 2. v. n. To decay, to separate, to be pruned, to be picked out.
