چکر चक्र chakkar : چکر चक्र chakkar S or chakr, s. m. 1. A whirl- wind or whirlpool. 2. A discus or sharp cir- cular missile weapon. (It was with this instru- ment, called सुदर्शनचक्र that Vish̤ṇu cut off the head of the Asur Rāhu, when, after churning the ocean, the Surs or gods, and Asurs fought for the amr̤ita or nectar). چکردهاري चक्रधारी chakr-dhārī, A peacock, Vish̤ṇu. 3. A universal monarch. 2. A title of Brāhmans in Bengal.
