چوڙان chauṛān H (from چوڙا) s. f. m. Width, breadth.

چنتنا chintanā चिंतन S̱. v. a. To study, to think.

چينهنا chīnh-nā S̱. v. a. To know, to recognise.

چهر chhar H s. f. 1. Spikenard. 2. Shaft, pole, pike, staff, flagstaff, flag. See چهڙ.

چهکڙ chhakkaṛ H s. f. A slap, blow, cuff.

چندرا chandrā H adj. 1. Bald. 2. Wise, in- telligent.

چوکڙي chaukaṛī H s. f. 1. A bound, a spring, a bounce. 2. (s̱. see چوکڙا) A ring of pearls worn by men in the ears. چوکڙي بهرنا chaukaṛī bharnā, To leap, bound, bounce. چوکڙي بهولنا chaukaṛī bhūlnā, To forget oneʼs bound, i. e. to be fascinated, to have oneʼs senses benumbed. چوکڙي مار بيٿهنا chaukaṛī mār baiṭhnā, To squat.

چرغينه charg̠ẖīna P adj. Wicked, villainous.

چکش chakish P (from چکيدن) s. f. The drip- ping or dropping (of water, &c.).

چهانٿنا chhānṭnā H v. a. 1. To pare, clip, prune, lop, crop, trim, dress, clean, select. 2. To se- parate the husk from grain by pounding it in a mortar, to husk. 3. To vomit.
