چسک chasak H s. f. Pain, aching, throbbing pain, a stitch (sharp lancinating pain).

چکتي chaktī S̱. (from चक्र A circle) s. f. 1. The hide of a rhinoceros (of which shields are made). 2. A patch of leather, a slice, com- pressed, flattened, a patch, the round of a cheese. 3. A round plate of metal, &c.

چپهال chaphāl H s. A place surrounded with marshes and mire.

چڙچڙا chiṛchiṛā H 1. s. m. The name of a plant. (Achyranthes aspera). 2. adj. Cross, peevish, crabbed, fretful.

چٿانا chuṭānā H (from چوٿ) v. a. To wound.

چباولا chabā-olā H adj. Childish, boyish.

چرکن chirkan P. s. m. See چرک chirk.

چنگ chang P s. f. 1. A claw. 2. The hand expanded. 3. A kind of guitar, a harp. 4. Fame, report. 5. A paper kite which they fly at night. 6. The name of a suit at cards: see under تاج tāj. چنگ نوازي chang-nawāz-ī, s. f. Playing on the guitar, &c.

چپني chapnī H s. f. A lid, a cover, top (small). چپني بهرپاني مين يا ليکي ڐوب مرنا chapnī bhar panī meṅ (or leke) ḍūb marnā (lit. to drown oneʼs self in a saucer-full of water) To be greatly abashed. چپني چاٿني chapnī chāṭnī (lit. to lick the pot-lid) To be contented with little.

چکناٿ chiknā-ṭ S̱. s. f. (dakh.) Fatness. H.S̱. چکناچور chaknā-chūr, s. m. Scraps, small pieces, atoms, filings. چکنا چور کرنا chaknā- chūr karnā, To shatter, to shiver, to break to pieces. چکنا چورهونا chaknā-chūr honā, To be dashed to pieces, to shatter.
