چوپاٴي chau-pā-ī चतुष्पदी S̱. s. f. A sort of metre or verse consisting of four (पद) lines.

چهوچهي chhūchhī H 1. adj. Contemptible, despicable, mean. 2. s. f. A pipe, a tube.

چهتري chhatrī S̱. 1. s. f. (छत्र) A tester or covering of a bed, &c., a small umbrella. 2. A frame made of bamboos for pigeons to settle upon. 3. s. m. (क्षत्रिय) A man of the second or military tribe of Hindūs. See under برن baran (वर्ण). چهتري دار chhatrī-dār, Having a hood or covering, covered, hooded (a carriage, &c.).

چوسٿهـ chausaṭh चतुःषष्टि S̱. adj. Sixty four.

چهانٿنا chhānṭnā H v. a. 1. To pare, clip, prune, lop, crop, trim, dress, clean, select. 2. To se- parate the husk from grain by pounding it in a mortar, to husk. 3. To vomit.
