چابک chābuk P 1. adj. Active, alert. 2. s. m. A horse-whip. (In this sense, however, it is found in the works of ḵẖusrau only, and it is probably Hindī). چابک بازي chābuk-bāzī, s. f. Whipping, lash. چابک دست chābuk-dast, adj. Nimble, active, alert, quick, adroit, beau- tiful. چابک پهٿکارنا chābuk phaṭkārnā, To crack a whip. چابک سوار chābuk-sawār, s. m. 1. A horsebreaker, a jockey. 2. A good rider. 3. A horse-broker. چابک سواري chābuk-sawār-ī, s. f. Jockeyship, &c. چابک مارنا chābuk mār- nā, To whip, lash, flog.

چن chan H s. m. A kind of sugar-cane.

چپٿنا chipaṭnā H v. n. To stick, to adhere.

چٿکارنا chaṭkārnā H v. a. To urge cattle by the clacking noise made by drawing the tongue from the palate.

چت پت chit-pit S̱. adj. (dakh.) Stained, de- filed: see آلوده ālūda.

چکناٿ chiknā-ṭ S̱. s. f. (dakh.) Fatness. H.S̱. چکناچور chaknā-chūr, s. m. Scraps, small pieces, atoms, filings. چکنا چور کرنا chaknā- chūr karnā, To shatter, to shiver, to break to pieces. چکنا چورهونا chaknā-chūr honā, To be dashed to pieces, to shatter.

چلم chilam H s. f. The part of a ḥuḳḳa which contains the tobacco and fire.

چکاره chikāra P (comp. of چه What and کار Business) adj. Useless.

چنکنا chanaknā H v. n. To burst and fall out (as, a seed from the husk). H. S̱. چن کهاؤ chun-khāʼū, s. (dakh.) 1. A bird. 2. A beggar: see بهکهاري bhikhārī.

چکونڙ chakoṅṛ S̱. or chakwaṅṛ, (चक्रमर्दक) s. m. A species of cassia (Cassia tora) esteemed a remedy for ringworms.
