امر amr A s. m. 1. An order, a command. 2. The imperative mood (in grammar). 3. An af- fair, transaction, thing, particular.

اڙبڙنگي aṛbaṛang-ī H adj. Inconsiderate. H. S̱. اڙبند aṛband, s. m. A cloth worn by Hindūs, passing from the waist between the thighs and fastening behind.

استخاره istiḵẖāra A (inf. x. of خیر) s. m. Judging from omens, augury.

استبرا istibrā A (inf. x. of برأ) s. m. 1. Cleansing, washing oneʼs hands of a business or desiring to be freed from it. 2. The waiting of a woman after being divorced from her husband, to as certain whether she is pregnant or not, before she can contract another marriage. (The term is three months, according to the Muhammadan law).

امواج amwāj A s. plur. (of موج) Waves, billows.

ايذا īẕā A (inf. iv. of اذيت) s. f. Hurting, injuring, harm, pain, trouble, vexation, distress, affliction. ايذادينا īẕā denā, To injure, pain, trouble, vex, distress, afflict, hurt, offend. ايذادهندي īẕā- dihandī, s. f. Giving pain, tormenting.

آتش زني ātash-zan-ī P s. f. Striking fire.

آگه āgah P adj. See آگاه āgāh.

آنچر ānchar S̱. (अंचल) s. m. The end or bor- der of a cloth, veil, shawl, &c.

آشچرج āshcharj S (or आश्वर्य्य āshcharya) s. m. Amazement, astonishment, surprise.
