جهڙن jhaṛan H (from جهڙنا) s. f. 1. The act of falling off (as, of fruit from the tree). 2. Snuff. 3. verb. n. of جهڙنا jhaṛnā, q. v.

جگتا jagtā जाग्रत् S̱. adj. Awake.

جولاه jolāh P s. m. A weaver. See جلاه ju- lāh.

جهڙپنا jhaṛap-nā H v. n. To spar, to fight (as, cocks, &c.), to contend.

جنگاه jangāh P (contract. of جنگ Battle, and گاه Place) s. f. The field of battle.

جهگڙا jhagṛā H s. m. Wrangling, quarrelling, contention, quarrel, squabble, strife. جهگڙا پکڙنا jhagṛā-pakaṛnā, To engage in anotherʼs quarrel. جهگڙا رگڙا jhagṛā ragṛā, s. m. Squabbling and wrangling, brawl, squabble.

جاسوسي jāsūs-ī A. s. f. The action or duty of a spy, spying. جاسوسي کرنا jāsūs-ī karnā, To act the spy.

جوف jauf A s. m. The interiour cavity (of any thing; hence, a drum called مجوف mujauwaf), concavity, hollow.

جلساٴي jal-sāʼī जलशायी S̱. (lit. sleeping on the water) adj. An epithet of Vish̤ṇu, when, after the destruction of the universe, he alone of all beings remains floating on the water, on a leaf of the baṛ or Ficus Indica, or on the great snake ananta.

جينا jīnā S̱. (जीवन r. जीव Live) v. n. To live. s. m. Living.
