جهجنا jhijnā H v. n. (dakh. i. q. لاغرهونا) To be or become lean or emaciated.

جين jain S̱. s. m. A sect of Hindūs.

جنب jamb A s. A side, a part, a tract of country.

جانگهيا jānghiyā S̱. (from जंघा) s. m. A kind of breeches that do not cover the thigh.

جهٿالنا jhuṭālnā S̱. (see جهوٿهـ) v. a. 1. To prove to be false, to prove one in the wrong. 2. To pollute victuals by touching them, &c. منــﮩـ جهٿالنا muṅh jhuṭālnā, To eat something. منـﮩ‍ا منـﮩـ جهٿالنا muṅhā muṅh jhuṭālnā, To give a man the lie to his face.

جيون jyūṅ S̱. or jyoṅ, or jyauṅ, adv. As, how much, the more so, when, as if. جيون کا تيون

جهانکنا jhānknā H v. a. To peep, to spy.

جدل jadal A s. m. Fighting, battle, encounter, altercation.

جهاڙا jhāṛā H s. m. A stool, a purge. جهاڙاجهپٿي جانا jhāṛā jhapṭe jānā, To go to the ne- cessary. جهاڙاجهپٿا لينا jhāṛā jhapṭā lenā, To search. جهاڙاپهرنا jhāṛā phirnā, or جهاڙاجهٿکاپهرنا jhāṛā jhaṭkā phirnā, To walk among the bushes (which means) to go to the necessary. جهاڙادينا jhāṛā denā, To submit to search. دوکان جهاڙا dūkān-jhāṛā, s. m. Sweepings of a (druggistʼs) shop, compound medicine.

جهمجهمانا jhamjhamānā H v. n. To sparkle, shine, glitter.
