جهلگا jhilgā H 1. s. m. The netted bottom of a bed or couch when worn out and separated. 2. adj. A couch or bed is said to be جهلگا jhilgā, when the bottom is worn out or broken.

جتهارتهـ यथार्थ jathārth S adv. In fact, exactly, truly.

جهاري jhārī S̱. (झर A cascade) s. f. 1. A pitcher with a long neck and a spout to it, an ewer. 2. For h. جهاڙي jhāṛī, q. v.

جا jā P s. f. A place. جا بجا jā-ba-jā, adv. Every where. جانشين jā-nishīn, s. m. A lo- cum tenens, a deputy, a successor, a vicegerent. جانشيني jā-nishīn-ī, s. f. Sitting in the place; lieutenancy, succession.

جبڙا jabṛā H s. m. The jaw, or the part of the face from the corners of the mouth to the jaws. See جبها and جبهڙا.

جلچر जलचर jal-char S adj. Aquatick (as birds, but not fish), moving or going in water.

جوگتي jūgatī S̱. adj. See جگتي jugatī.

جهٿنا jhaṭnā H v. n. (dakh.) 1. To become thin or lean, to diminish. 2. (i. q. مناظره کرنا) To dispute.

جهونک jhonk H s. f. 1. A shove or push in swinging. 2. The impulse of a squall or sudden blast of wind. جهونک دينا jhonk denā, 1. To set fire to (particularly, straw, &c.). 2. To throw dust, &c. 3. To throw away (the lives of men uselessly). جهونک کهانا jhonk khānā, To roll.

جهاؤ jhāʼū झावुक S̱. s. m. Name of a tree, called in Persian شوره گز shora-gaz, from its growing in marshy ground. (Tamarix Indica).
