جهونک jhonk H s. f. 1. A shove or push in swinging. 2. The impulse of a squall or sudden blast of wind. جهونک دينا jhonk denā, 1. To set fire to (particularly, straw, &c.). 2. To throw dust, &c. 3. To throw away (the lives of men uselessly). جهونک کهانا jhonk khānā, To roll.

جي jī जीव S̱. s. m. Life, soul, self, spirit, mind. جي اٿهانا jī uṭhānā, To withdraw oneʼs friendship or desire. جي آجانا jī ā jānā, To have the mind suddenly fixed (on any thing). جي براکرنا jī burā karnā, 1. To vomit, to have a nausea. 2. To be displeased. جي بڙهانا jī baṛhānā, To be moderately desirous. جي بکهرنا jī bikharnā, v. n. To faint. جي بهرجانا jī bhar jānā, To be at ease and contented. جي بهرآنا jī bhar ānā, To be touched with compassion or seized with grief. جي بـﮩ‍لانا jī bahlānā, To amuse oneʼs self, to dissipate reflection. جي پانا jī pānā, 1. To understand oneʼs temper. 2. To be highly pleased, to escape from misfortune. جي پاني کرنا jī pānī karnā, To harass, to tease, to plague, to perplex. جي پرکسيکي چلنا jī par kisī ke chal- nā, To obey one. جي پرکهيلنا jī par khelnā, To risk oneʼs life, to run the hazard: see جان پرکهيلنا jān-par khelnā. جي پسيجنا يا پگهلنا يا پگهل jī-pasījnā, or -pighalnā, or -pighal jānā, To be compassionate, to feel affection. جي پکڙاجانا jī pakṛā jānā, To be sorry. جي پهٿ جانا jī phaṭ jānā, To be broken-hearted. جي پهرجانا jī phir jānā, 1. To be contented. 2. To be sa- tiated or disgusted. جي جلانا jī jalānā, 1. To befriend. 2.
