تتبع tatabbuﻌ A (inf. v. of تبع Chald. He followed) s. m. 1. Following, imitation. 2. Continuation. تتبع کرنا tatabbuﻌ karnā, To search diligently, to explore, to examine, to fol- low, to imitate, ape, mimick.

تشرع tasharruﻌ A (inf. v. of شر) s. m. 1. The ordinances of a prophet, particularly the laws of Muhammad. 2. Acting agreeable to those ordinances.

تشيع مذهب tashaiyuﻌ-maẕhab A 1. Heresy. 2. The sect of shīʼaﻌ, followers of Alī. See شيعه.

تصاعد taṣāʼuﻌd A (inf. vi. of صعد) s. m. Ascending, becoming difficult.

تصنع taṣannuﻌ A (inf. v. of صنع) s. m. Making a show of art, pretending to an art, speciousness.

تضرع taẓarruﻌ A (inf. v. of ضرع) s. m. 1. Suppli. cation. 2. Lamenting.

تـﮩوع tahauwuﻌ A (inf. v. of هوع) s. m. Sickness at stomach, inclination to vomit.

تمتع tamattuﻌ A (inf. v. of متع) s. m. Enjoyment, using, gaining, delight, pleasure.

تنازع tanāzuﻌ A (inf. vi. of نزع or نزاع) s. m. Wrangling, strife.

تواضع tawāẓuﻌ A (inf. vi. of وضع) s. f. Humility, attention, civility, pretended kindness, empty compliments. تواضع سمرقندي tawāẓuﻌ-i-samar- ḳandī, False politeness, pretended kindness, empty compliment.

توقع tāwaḳḳuﻌ A (inf. v. of وقوع) s. f. 1. Ex- pectation, hope, desire, wish, trust, reliance. 2. Request. توقع رکهنا tawaḳḳuﻌ rakhnā, To ex- pect, to hope.

ربيع الاول rabīʼuﻌ-ḷ-auwal A The third month, and ربيع الاخر rabīʼuﻌ-lʼāḵẖir or ربيع الثاني rabīʼuﻌ-s̤- s̤ānī, The fourth month of the Muhammadan year. The 9th and 12th days of the former are festivals.

رعب ruﻌb A (or raﻌb) s. m. Terrifying, fear, ter- rour, trembling with fear; awe.
