تهوڙا thoṛā H adj. A little, small, scarce, few, scanty, seldom, some, less. تهوڙابـﮩت thoṛā bahut, adj. More or less. تهوڙاتهوڙا thoṛā thoṛā, A little, by degrees. تهوڙاتهوڙا هونا thoṛā thoṛā honā, To be ashamed, to shrink with shame. تهوڙي سي تهوڙا thoṛe se thoṛā, adj. Very little.

تعميه taﻌmiya A (inf. ii. of عمي) s. m. 1. Act of rendering blind. 2. Concealing the meaning of a sentence or discourse. (Generally applied to a chronogram after the manner of abjad, when the clause, which should give the date, fails in accuracy, and the excess or defect is obscurely indicated by another word. Ex. gr. ازحوض لطيف اب بردار az ḥauẓ-i-lat̤īf āb bardār, Draw water from the pellucid cistern. The letters in حوض لطيف make 943, from which substracting those of اب 3, we have the date required 940). 3. An enigma.

تماشا tamāshā A. (for تماشي inf. vi. of مشي) s. m. 1. An entertainment, show, a spectacle. 2. Sight, amusement fun, pleasure. تماشا بيني tamāshā-bīn-ī, s. f. Luxury, libertinism. تماشا کرنا tamāshā karnā, v. a. 1. To see. 2. To take a walk. 3. To jeer, to jest. تماشا کنان ta- māshā-kunān, Beholding, looking at for amuse- ment. تماش بين tamāsh-bīn, A spectator; a rake, an epicure, a whoremaster. تماش بيني tamāsh-bīn-ī, s. f. Raking, whoring, gallantry. A.P. تماشاگاه tamāshā-gāh, s. f. A place of show, a theatre. A. H. تماشاي tamāshā-ī, 1. s. m. f. A spectator. 2. adj. Fit for a spectacle. تقريبا taḳrīb-aṉ A adv. Near to, about, nearly.

تفکه tafakkuh A (inf. v. of فکه) s. m. 1. Admiring. 2. Penitence. 3. Enjoyment of any thing. (Plur. تفکـﮩ‍ات).

تلواسه talwāsa P s. m. Commotion, astonish- ment, trouble.

تعاليٰ taʼāﻌlạ̄ A (from علو) adj. Most high. تعاليٰ الله taāﻌlạ-llāh, The most high God.

تناسب tanāsub A (inf. vi. of نسب) s. m. f. Re- sembling, relation, proportion.

تهجنا thijnā H v. n. (dakh.) To be astonished.

تلپنا talapnā H v. a. To flutter, palpitate, be agitated, to flounce.
