A kind of sweetmeat made of rice, butter, and sugar. شکرخند sha- kar-ḵẖand, Smiling sweetly, speaking gently with a smile of love, charming, gracious, amiable. شکرريز shakar-rez, adj. Scattering sugar, mel- lifluous. شکرفروش shakar-farosh, A seller of sugar; (met.) a mistress. شکرگفتار shakar-guf- tār, adj. Speaking agreeably, eloquent. شکرلب shakar-lab, adj. Sugar-lipped.

شکرستان shakar-istān P s. A place where sugar- canes grow. A.P. شکرانه shukr-āna, s. m. Gratitude, acknow- ledgment of gratitude, thanksgiving.
