استفراغ istifrāg̠ẖ A (inf. x. of فراغت) s. m. Vo- miting.

ان راگ अनुराग anu-rāg S s. m. Affection, love, passion.

ان راگي अनुरागी anu-rāg-ī S part. act. Making friendship, loving, caressing.

انراگنا anurāgnā S̱. (from अनुराग) v. n. To be in love with.

بيراگ bairāg S or bairāgya (वैराग्य) s. m. Penance, devotion, the act of leaving the plea- sures of the world.

بيراگا bairāgā S̱. (from वैरागी) s. m. A small crooked stick, which a bairāgī places under his arm-pit to lean upon as he sits.

بيراگن bairāgan वैरागिणी S̱. s. f. 1. A fe- male bairāgī. 2. Same as بيراگا q. v.

بيراگي bairāgī S (वैरागी) s. m. 1. The religious ascetick, or he who abandons terrestrial objects, thoughts, passions, &c. 2. A kind of wandering faḳīr who practices certain austerities.

راغ rāg̠ẖ P s. m. 1. A meadow. 2. A desert. 3. The skirt of a mountain on the side of a desert.

راغب rāg̠ẖib A part. act. (of رغب) Willing, wishing; (adjectively) Desirous, curious.

راگ राग rāg S s. m. (in dakh. f.) 1. A mode in musick (there being six in number), musick, song, tune. 2. Anger, passion. 3. Love. راگ چهانا rāg chhānā, v. n. To be in concert. راگ رنگ rāg-rang, s. m. Musick. راگ ساگر rāg- sāgar, s. m. A song composed of many rāgs or musical modes. راگ مالا rāg-mālā, s. f. The name of a treatise on musick (being nothing more than a collection of pictures, exhibiting the traditional history of the primary and sub- ordinate modes, and the subjects appropriated to each).

راگنا rāgnā S̱. (from راگ) v. a. To begin to sing.

راگني रागिणी rāgiṇī S s. f. A mode in musick, the wife of a rāg (there being thirty of the rā- giṇī in number).

راگي रागी rāg-ī S 1. s. m. A singer. 2. A lover. 3. adj. Passionate.

سراغ surāg̠ẖ P s. m. 1. Search, inquiry. 2. Sign, mark, trace, intelligence. 3. Spying. سراغ لينا surāg̠ẖ lenā, To search, to seek, to in- quire for, to spy.
