جپي تپي japī tapī S̱. (from जप and तपः) s. m. An adorer. S̱. جت 1. jut (for युत in comp.) Connected with, united with, joined to; as دهرم جت dharm-jut, adj. Virtuous. 2. jut (for ज्योतिः) s. f. Brilliancy, &c. See جوت jot or joti. 3. jat (for जाति) s. f. Manner, fashion, kind. 4. jat (for यति) s. f. A kind of musical rhythm, (generally, sung at the holī). 5. jit (for यत्र) adv.
