نکات nikāt A s. plur. of نکته nukta, q. v.

نکاح nikāḥ A s. m. Matrimony, marriage. (It is the most honourable kind of marriage, though in Bengal the term be only applicable to a se- condary kind). A. P. نکاحي nikāḥ-ī, adj. Married (woman).

نکاستا nikāstā H s. m. A prop, a pillar.

نکاسنا nikāsnā निःकासन S̱. v. a. See نکالنا.

نکاسي nikās-ī S̱. s. f. Taxes collected on goods passing out of a town, duties, &c. نکاسي کي چٿهي nikās-ī kī chiṭṭhī, s. f. A permit, a pass- port.

نکال nikāl निकाल S̱. s. m. Contrivance, out- let, issue, vent, discharge, expulsion, projection. نکال ڐالنا nikāl ḍālnā, To deduct, to strike out.

نکالنا nikālnā S̱. (causal of نکلنا or see نکاسنا nikās- nā and نکال nikāl) v. a. To cause to issue, to take out, to turn out, to expel, to cause to ex- ceed, to utter, to discover or find out, to invent, to take off, to exclude, to extract, protrude, de- duce, extricate, to exhibit, to produce, put forth, hatch, to pull, to do, to perform, to accomplish, to pick. نکال دينا nikāl dena, To expel, to eject, to discard, to drive or turn out, exclude, cashier.

نکانا nikānā H v. a. To weed.

نکاٴي nikāʼī H s. f. 1. The price paid for weeding a field. 2. The act of weeding.

نکاٴي nikāʼī P. (from نيک nek) s. f. Goodness, welfare, prosperity, beauty.
