اطمینان it̤mīnān A (inf. iv. of طمأن) s. f. Tran- quillity, rest, repose, quiet, content, security. اطمینان خاطر it̤mīnān-i-ḵẖāt̤ir, Peace of mind.

تضمين taẓmīn A (inf. ii. of ضمن) s. f. 1. Giving satisfaction for an injury. 2. Comprehending or including one thing in another. 3. Inserting the verses of another in oneʼs own poem. 4. Giving security. 5. Intrusting with another. 6. Lending on interest. 7. Putting in a purse or strong box. تضمين کرنا taẓmīn karnā, To insert the verses of another in oneʼs own poem, making the one correspond with the other.

ثمين s̤amīn A adj. Precious, valuable.

ريشمينه reshmīna P adj. Silken.

زمين zamīn P s. f. The earth, ground, soil, land, floor, a region, country, the ground of a picture. زمين کاهونا zamīn kā honā (dakh. i. q. لاچارهونا) To be helpless or destitute (?). زمين بوس zamīn-bos honā, To make a profound bow. زمين پرسي کچهہ پڙاپانا zamīn par se kuchh paṛā pānā, To be overjoyed at finding unexpectedly the object of oneʼs wishes. زمين پکڙني zamīn pakaṛnī, To persevere obstinately in any de- sign, to insist. زمين گير zamīn-gīr, adj. Op- pressed or broken down by age or time, paralytick. زمين مين گڙجانا zamīn meṅ gaṛ jānā, To be greatly ashamed.

زميندار zamīn-dār P (زمين Ground, and part. act. of داشتن To have, to hold) A landlord, a land- holder, a farmer. P. H. زميندارني zamīn-dār-nī, s. f. The wife of a landholder or farmer.

زمينداري zamīn-dār-ī P s. f. A landed estate, a fief.

زميني zamīn-ī P adj. Earthy, terrestrial.

فرامين farāmīn P s. plur. (of Pers. فرمان adopted in Arab.) Orders, commands, mandates, pre- cepts.

مضامين maẓāmīn A s. plur. (of مضمون) The contents.
