بجنتري bajantarī S̱. (वाद्य A musical instrument, and यंत्री A musician) s. m. One who plays on musical instruments. بجنتري محال bajan- taṛī-maḥāl, s. m. 1. The quarter inhabited by musicians. 2. A brothel. 3. Taxes on musi- cians and female dancers. P. A. بجنس ba-jins, By kind, in detail, particu- larly.

بيجنتي baijantī वैजयन्ती S̱. s. f. A flag or standard; the standard of Vish̤ṇu.

بيجنتي مالا baijantī-mālā S̱. (वैजयंती see بيجنتي and माला Necklace) s. f. A necklace especially worn by Vish̤ṇu in his several forms, and com- posed of the following jewels, produced from the five elements of nature: namely, the sapphire, from the earth; the pearl, from water; the ruby, from fire; the topaz, from air; and, the dia- mond, from space or ether.

جل جنت जलजन्तु jal-jantu S s. m. An aqua- tick animal (a porpoise, shark, &c.).

جنتا jantā यंत्र S̱. s. m. An instrument for drawing wire.

جنتار jantār S̱. (from यंत्र) s. m. An amulet.

جنتانا jantānā S̱. (r. यत्र Press, squeeze) v. n. To be squeezed, to be pressed.

جنتر यंत्र jantr S s. m. 1. A machine in gene- ral, any instrument or apparatus. 2. A musical instrument. 3. A dial. 4. An observatory. 5. A diagram of a mystical nature, or astrological character. 6. An amulet. جنترمنتر jantr- mantr (यंत्रमंत्र) s. m. Juggling, conjuring, enchanting by figures and incantations.

جنتري jantrī S̱. s. m. 1. (यंत्र) An instrument for drawing wire. 2. (यंत्री) A conjurer, a juggler, a wizard.

جنطيانا jant̤iyānā A s. m. The herb gentian.
