آخر āḵẖir A (Heb. After) adj. Last, latter. s. m. End, termination, issue. adv. At last, finally. آخرکرنا āḵẖir karnā, v. a. To end, finish, conclude, terminate. آخرهونا āḵẖir ho- nā, v. n. To end, to be ended, &c.

آخرالامر āḵẖiru-l-amr A adv. At the end, finally, at last.

آخرت āḵẖirat A s. f. Futurity, a future state, the world to come. A. P. آخرش āḵẖirash, adv. At the end of it, at last, finally, after all. A. P. آخرشب āḵẖir-i-shab, s. The end of the night, before dawn.

آخري āḵẖir-ī A adj. Last, latter, final, extreme.

آرث irs̤ A s. m. Inheritance, heritage.

آسرباد āsirbād आशीर्वाद S̱. s. m. Benedic- tion, blessing.

آمر āmir A part. act. (from امر) One who orders, a commander, a ruler. S. امر अमर (अ and मर What dies, from r. मृ Die) a-mar, 1. adj. Immortal, exempt from death, everlasting. 2. A God.

ابخره abḵẖira A s. plur. (of بخار or بخور) Vapours, exhalations, perfumes.

ابروده a-birodh अविरोध S̱. s. m. Without contention; tranquillity, quietness.

ابرودهني a-birodh-inī S (अविरोधिनी) f. adj. Quiet, tranquil.

ابرودهي a-birodh-ī S (अविरोधी) m. adj. Quiet, tranquil.

ابوهریره abū huraira A (father of the cat, because he was in the habit of carrying a cat with him) n. prop. One of the companions of Muhammad.

اجر अजिर ajir S s. m. An area, court, yard.

اجنم अ and जन्म Birth a-janm S. adj. Un- born and unbegotten.

احتراز iḥtirāz A (inf. viii. of حرز) s. m. Absti- nence, regimen, abstaining from improper actions of any kind, forbearance, controuling the pas- sions. احتراز کرنا iḥtirāz karnā, To abstain (from), to keep oneʼs self with care (from), to guard oneʼs self (from), to avoid.
