فصاحت faṣāḥat A (from فصح To speak clearly, from Heb. To break; and, hence, to sound) s. f. Eloquence.

فصاد faṣṣād A (adj. superl. of فصد) s. m. A sur- geon, phlebotomist.

فصادي faṣṣād-ī A. s. f. Surgery, phlebotomy.

فصد faṣd A s. f. Opening a vein, bleeding, phlebotomy. فصد کرنا faṣd karnā or فصد کهـولنا faṣd kholnā, v. a. To bleed.

فصل faṣl A s. f. 1. Separation, division, a sec- tion, article, clause, chapter. 2. Time, season, crop, harvest. (Plur. فصول fuṣūl).

فصيح faṣīḥ A (from فصح) adj. Eloquent, sweet (tongued). (Pers. plur. فصيحان).

فصيحي faṣīḥ-ī A. s. f. Eloquence.

فصيل faṣīl A (vulg. safīl, from فصل) s. f. Breast- work, parapet, intrenchment.

قفص ḳafaṣ A (Heb. and Chald. To re- strain, to shut up) s. m. A cage, a lattice, network.

مفصل mufaṣṣal A (part. pass. II. of فصل Heb. and Aram. ) 1. adj. Distinct, full, ample, detailed (account of circumstances). 2. adv. Particularly, diffusively, distinctly, in detail, fully. 3. (peculiar to India) The country (in opposition to town). ¶ mafṣil or mafṣal (noun of place) s. Joint (of the body).
