استطاعت istit̤āaﻌt A (inf. x. of طوع) s. f. 1. Power, possibility. 2. Submitting to, dependence.

اطاعت it̤āʼaﻌt A (inf. iv. of طوع) s. f. Obeying, obedience, submission, obsequiousness, observ- ance, reverence, worshipping. اطاعت کرنا it̤āʼaﻌt karnā, To obey.

بدعت bidʼaﻌt A s. f. The introduction of novelty or change in religion, schism, heresy, innovation; violence, oppression, wrong.

بدعتي bidʼaﻌt-ī A. adj. Tyrant, oppressor.

بضاعت biẓāʼaﻌt A s. f. Capital stock in trade.

بيعت baiʼaﻌt A s. f. Homage, fealty. بيعت کرنا baiʼaﻌt karnā, v. a. To become a disciple of some saint.

تبيعت tabīʼaﻌt A (from تبع) s. f. Following, de- pendance.

تعطل taʼaﻌt̤t̤ul A (inf. v. of عطل Heb. Was idle, slothful) s. m. 1. Idleness. 2. Having no bracelets or other ornaments.

تعطيل taﻌt̤īl A (inf. ii. of عطل) s. f. 1. Abandoning, neglecting. 2. Rendering useless. 3. Laying waste, vacation. (Friday is the تعطيل کا روز taﻌt̤īl kā roz of Muhammadan school boys).

جماعت jamāʼaﻌt A s. f. A crowd, an assembly, a troop, meeting, society, congregation.

جميعت jamīʼaﻌt A s. f. A congregation, a mul- titude.

خلعت ḵẖilʼaﻌt A or ḵẖalʼaﻌt, s. m. and f. A dress, robe of honour, with which princes confer dignity on subjects. خلعت پـﮩرانا يا دينا ḵẖilʼaﻌt -pahrānā or -denā, To invest with a robe of honour.

دفعتا dafʼaﻌtaṉ A or dafʼaﻌtā, adv. Often, all at once, at one time.

دفعته dafʼaﻌta A. adv. See دفعتا dafʼaﻌtā.

رجعت rajʼaﻌt A s. f. Return, return of the per- son divorcing to the person divorced, return of a man to his family, answer to a letter, the re- surrection. S. رجک रजक (r. रंज Colour) rajak, s. m. A washerman.
