استغفرال‍له astag̠ẖfiru-llāh A I entreat forgiveness of. God. (An expression signifying negation, God forbid!).

بـﮩ‍لا bahilā H adj. f. Barren. (Generally applied to cattle).

بـﮩ‍لانا‍‍‍ bahlānā H (trans. of بـﮩلنا) v. a. To divert, to amuse, to recreate.

بـﮩ‍ي bahī H s. f. A book not stitched at the sides but at the ends; a register, book of accounts, ledger.

بـﮩ‍ي bihī P s. f. 1. A quince; and (in India) a guava. بـﮩ‍ي دانه bihī-dāna, s. m. Quince-seed. 2. (from به Good) Goodness, the being well or better.

بـﮩ‍يتو bahetū S̱. (from بـﮩنا) s. m. A vagabond, va- grant, wanderer, rambler.

بـﮩ‍يليا baheliyā H s. m. 1. A fowler. 2. The name of a tribe of Hindūs.

بـﮩ‍يڙ bahīṛ H s. f. Baggage, &c. in an army.

بـﮩ‍يڙا baheṛā विभीतक S̱. s. m. Beleric myro- balan. (Terminalia belerica).

بيـﮩ‍لا behlā P. (Pers. بيله) s. m. Money carried by great men to be distributed in charity when tra- velling, &c. بيـ‍ﮩ‍لابردار behlā-bardār, The car- rier of the بيـﮩ‍لا. See p. بيلا.

تـﮩ‍ي tihī P adj. Empty, vain. پـﮩلوتـﮩ‍ي کرنا

تيـﮩ‍ي tehī S̱. adv. Exactly then.

جبـﮩ‍ه jabha A s. m. The forehead. جبـﮩ‍ه سا jabha- sā, Rubbing oneʼs forehead on the ground; be- seeching, begging earnestly. جبـﮩ‍ه ساٴي jabha- sā-ī, The act of rubbing the forehead on the ground, beseeching earnestly, &c.

جـﮩ‍لا juhalā A s. plur. (of جاهل) Ignorant people.

جلبـﮩ‍ي jal-bahī S̱. (from جل and بـﮩنا q. v.) s. f. Swimming, striking with the arms and legs in water.
