حل ḥall A (Heb. ) s. m. Solution, loosing. حلکاري ḥall-kārī, s. f. Gilding. حل کرنا ḥall karnā, To loosen, to solve, to dissolve, discuss, dilute. حل هونا hall honā, To be solved, loosened, resolved, dissolved, &c.

حلاج ḥallāj A (from حلج) s. m. A comber, a carder of cotton.

حله ḥalla H (perhaps for Arab. حمله) s. m. Assault, onset, attack, storm. حله کرنا ḥalla karnā, To assault, storm, attack.

محل maḥall A (noun of place of حلّ Heb. ) s. m. A place, building, house, mansion, re- sidence, seraglio, district, quarter, abode, station, time, opportunity, occasion. (Plur. محال ma- ḥāll and محلات maḥallāt, Houses, places). محل سرا maḥall-sarā, Seraglio, female apart- ments. محل مجرا maḥall-i-mujrā, 1. The place of obeisance. 2. Clearance of accounts. ¶ mu- ḥill (part. act. IV. of حلّ) adj. Deserving (punishment).

محله maḥalla A s. m. A quarter (or part of a town), district, division; a review or muster (of troops). محله ديکهنا maḥalla dekhnā, To make a review or muster (of troops).

محلي maḥall-ī A. adj. Belonging to the seraglio (a servant, &c.), an eunuch.

پچمحلا pach-maḥallā S̱. A. (पंच Five, and محل Mansion) adj. Of five stories (a house).
